Son of James C. Choate & Winnie (Ward) Choate. Married Eliza Wade. He served as Sheriff and County and Probate Judge of Tobucksy County of the Choctaw Nation, which is now called Pittsburg County. He served on the Choctaw Supreme Court.

McAlester, Okla., Nov. 10 - Judge George W. Choate of Indianola, pioneer Indian and formerly county judge and member of the Choctaw legislature, died at a local hospital last night. The funeral will be held under auspices of the Masonic fraternity at Indianola Wednesday afternoon."
